Privacy Policy

Effective Date 10-9-2026

Defending Conservative Values PAC ("DCV PAC," "we," "us") runs dcvpac.org and our donation, email, and text message programs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

- Contact details: your name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, and ZIP code when you sign up, contact us, or contribute.

- Contribution details: amount, date, and payment method. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of each person whose contributions add up to more than $200 in a calendar year.

- Eligibility confirmations: the statements you confirm when you give, such as that you are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident and are using your own funds.

- Messages you send us: anything you send through our contact form, by email, or by text reply.

Payment card and bank details are entered directly with our payment processor (see Section 7). We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.

Information collected automatically

- Device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, how you got to our site, and similar usage data, collected through cookies and similar tools (see Section 6).

- Whether you open our emails or click their links, and which links or tracking codes you used to reach a donation page.

2. How we use your information

- To process contributions and send receipts.

- To meet federal reporting requirements. We report contributor information to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) as the law requires. Reports filed with the FEC are public, and the FEC posts them online.

- To send you updates, news, event information, and requests for contributions by email or, if you opt in, by text.

- To keep track of your communication preferences, including unsubscribe and opt-out requests.

- To understand how our website and messages perform, and to improve them.

- To prevent fraud and impermissible contributions, and to comply with the law and legal process.

Note on FEC data: Federal law prohibits anyone from using contributor information copied from FEC reports to solicit contributions or for commercial purposes. We do not use other committees' FEC reports to build our lists.

3. Mobile numbers and text messages

If you opt in to our text program, we use your mobile number to send recurring text messages about alerts, donation requests, updates, and other information from DCV PAC. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms at https://dcvpac.org/sms-terms

No mobile information will be shared by us with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Email

If you give us your email address, we may send you updates and requests for contributions. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly. Receipts and other transaction messages may still be sent after you unsubscribe.

5. We do not sell, rent, swap, or share your information

We do not sell, rent, exchange, or share your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or any other contact or contribution information with other organizations, campaigns, or causes, for their marketing or for any other purpose.

We disclose information only in these limited cases:

- Service providers who work for us, such as payment processors, email and texting platforms, website hosting, analytics, and compliance and accounting vendors. They may use your information only to provide services to us, and not for their own marketing.

- Required by law: we report contributor information to the FEC as federal law requires (see Section 2), and we may disclose information when the law, a subpoena, or a court order requires it, or to protect our rights or prevent fraud.

Lists we rent from others: DCV PAC may rent or use mailing, email, or contact lists owned by other organizations to reach new supporters. If you got a message from us that way, the list owner shared your information under its own policy, not ours. Once you sign up with us or give to us, this policy covers how we handle your information, and you can unsubscribe from us at any time.

6. Cookies and analytics

7. Payment processors

Contributions are processed by third-party platforms, currently Anedot, and we may also use WinRed. When you give, you are also providing information to that processor, and its own privacy policy and terms apply:

- Anedot: https://anedot.com/privacy

- WinRed: https://winred.com/privacy/

These processors may also use your information as described in their own policies (for example, to save your payment details for faster giving).

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we limit access to people and vendors who need it. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Our website and programs are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be at least 18 years old to contribute through our donation pages. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your choices

- Email: click "unsubscribe" in any email, or contact us.

- Text: reply STOP to any message.

- Mail and phone calls: contact us to be removed.

- Updates or corrections: contact us to update your contact information. We may need to keep certain contribution records to comply with federal recordkeeping and reporting law, even if you ask us to delete them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If we ever change how we share personal information, the change will apply only to information collected after the change, unless you agree otherwise.
